OUR APPROACH

The work behind
the finish.

  1. Protect & remove

We cover surrounding surfaces and always remove cabinet doors and drawers before painting.

  2. Prepare the surfaces

We sand, renew caulking and fill imperfections as needed.

  3. Two primer coats

We apply two coats of Zinsser B-I-N shellac-based primer.

  4. Two finish coats

We apply two coats of Sherwin-Williams Gallery Series, usually in a matte-to-satin sheen.

Plan on about one full week for a typical kitchen. We’ll confirm the expected schedule for your cabinets and discuss access before work begins.

BEFORE YOU GET STARTED

A few helpful
answers.

How long does cabinet painting take?

A typical kitchen takes about one full week. The scope and preparation needs can affect the schedule, so we’ll discuss timing during your estimate. This describes the work schedule, not the finish’s full curing time.

Will I be able to use my kitchen during the work?

Plan for painting work in your kitchen for about one full week. We’ll discuss access, the areas that will be covered and how to prepare before work begins.

What is included in my cabinet estimate?

We’ll clarify which cabinets and surfaces are included, their preparation needs, your color and sheen preferences, and the expected schedule.
